As expected David Herity has been forced to name a very experimental team for tomorrow’s Kehoe Cup opener against Carlow in Netwatch Cullen Park (4pm).

With Naas, ironically managed by Carlow manager Tom Mullally, in action earlier in the afternoon in the Leinster Intermediate final, Herity must do without 12 of the 2022 panel named earlier in the week.

With other injuries etc to contend with, Herity has filled his bench mostly with players from outside the senior panel.

Apart from Carlow, Kildare’s group includes Westmeath and Meath.
