On the day that Kildare senior hurlers recorded a 14th successive victory to go top of Division 2A of the National Hurling League with one game to play, we are delighted to announce a huge update to the hurling stats on the website.

Firstly the Results section now includes the results from every recorded Kildare Senior Hurling tie dating back to 1888.

That’s a grand total of 713 games!

In addition for the most recent 471 games dating back over 43 years to November 1979, we have the Kildare scorers recorded for each of those games.

We will continue to add scorers over the next weeks and months as far as is possible (not all match reports sadly include lists of scorers).

The data earlier than November 1979 owes a lot to the work of Eoghan Corry and his book “Kildare GAA – A Centenary History” published in 1983.
